history

The first documentary evidence of the Albanian presence in Rrota dates from March 8th 1507, when Nicola Macza, Albanian of the “Casale” Santa Maria della Rota, received a license and permission from Prince Berardino Sanseverino to stay armed in the fiefdom of Bisignano .
