Belmonte Calabro , also known as Belmonte , is a town in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region in southern Italy with 1916 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

The place is 73 km southwest of Cosenza on the Tyrrhenian Sea . The districts are Annunziata, Vadi, Marina, Santa Barbara, Salice and Spineto. The neighboring towns are Amantea , Lago , Longobardi , Mendicino and San Pietro in Amantea .

In Belmonte Calabro there are remains of a medieval fortification. The parish church from the Middle Ages is worth seeing.
