The Spielothek-Cup 2001 was the 16th edition of the handball competition and was held on August 24th and 25th, 2001 in the East Westphalian cities of Minden and Lübbecke in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The TBV Lemgo prevailed in the final with 30:25 (17:13) goals against the Danish representative team Helsinge through and won his fifth title overall. Third place went to TSV GWD Minden with 27:25 (17:14) against TuS N-Lübbecke in the Mühlenkreis derby . The top scorer was Lübbeckes Harald Johnsen with 15 goals.

The prize money was 14,500  DM . 6,000 DM of this went to the winner TBV Lemgo.
