The Spielothek-Cup 1996 was the eleventh edition of the handball competition and was held on 23 and 24 August 1996 in the East Westphalian cities of Minden and Lübbecke in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The TBV Lemgo prevailed in the final with 34:31 (18:16) gates against TSV GWD Minden through, winning his second overall title. Third place went to TuS Nettelstedt with 30:28 (13:14) against SG VfL / BHW Hameln . Mindens Stéphane Stoecklin was the top scorer with 19 goals.

The prize money was 10,000  DM . 4,000 DM of this went to the winner TBV Lemgo.
