The Spielothek-Cup 1995 was the tenth edition of the handball competition and was held on August 25th and 26th, 1995 in the East Westphalian cities of Minden and Lübbecke in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The TBV Lemgo prevailed in the final with 33:27 (18:14) goals against the TuS Nettelstedt through and won his first title. Third place went to the Belarusian representative SKA Minsk with 33:25 (17:12) against SG VfL / BHW Hameln . Minsk's Andrej Sinjak was the top scorer with 21 goals.

Evaluation criteria

In the group stage, the playing time was 2 × 20 minutes. There were two groups with three participants each. Within the groups, each team played against every other team, i.e. three games per group. The winner of each match received two points, the loser none, and in the event of a tie everyone received one point. The teams were placed in the groups in the following order:

  1. Number of points;
  2. Goal difference ;
  3. Number of goals scored;
  4. the lot.

The first and second group qualified for the semi-finals, the third for the game for fifth place.

    Since after the end of the group games based on the first three evaluation criteria still no clear ranking could be determined between SG VfL / BHW Hameln and TSV GWD Minden , the lot should decide on the second place in the table. However, both teams agreed to contest a seven-meter throw for the decision. Hameln won this 5: 4, for which only Edgar Schwank failed to Jens Buhrmester . Bodo Leckelt , whose throw was held by Jörg Engelhardt , and Robert Hedin , who only hit the crossbar , rejected Minden .
