The Spielothek-Cup 2017 was the 29th edition of the handball competition and was held on August 12th and 13th, 2017 in the East Westphalian cities of Minden and Lübbecke in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The TBV Lemgo prevailed in the final with 30:27 (14:16) gates against TSV Hannover-Burgdorf through and won his sixth title overall. GWD Minden secured third place with 26:25 (12:12) against TuS N-Lübbecke in the Mühlenkreis derby . The top scorer was Hanover's Lars Lehnhoff with 13 goals.

mode

It was played with four teams in the knockout system with two semi-finals, the game for third place and the final. The playing time was 2 × 30 minutes. In the event of a tie after the end of normal playing time, there should be an extension of 2 × 5 minutes. In the event of a tie after the extension has expired, a seven-meter throw. In the first semi-final between TuS N-Lübbecke and TBV Lemgo, however, both teams agreed not to play extra time and to determine the winner directly by throwing seven meters.
