Tim Hoffmann (actor, 1943)
Tim Hoffmann (born January 16, 1943 in Frankfurt am Main ; † January 31, 2015 in Berlin ) was a German actor , dubbing and radio play speaker .
Life
Tim Hoffmann was born in 1943 as the son of the actor couple AP Hoffmann (1906–1982) and Gaby Jäh (1912–2015) in Frankfurt am Main . After graduating from secondary school in Berlin-Mitte , which was still called the Gray Monastery Gymnasium until 1958 , he worked as a prop master at the Deutsches Theater . Although he has been constantly attending various theater performances through his parents since early childhood, it was only here that the desire to take up the acting profession hardened. From 1961 to 1964 he studied at the State Drama School in Berlin . Since his voice was not enough for a big stage, he went to the Berlin Maxim-Gorki-Theater , where he was a member of the ensemble for 43 years. In addition to his theater work, he was a sought-after actor for DEFA and television . His voice was also used in around 50 speaking roles in the DEFA dubbing studio as well as in radio plays on the radio of the GDR .
Tim Hoffmann was married to the actress Uta Schorn for 16 years . In 1968 their daughter Danne Hoffmann was born, who also works as an actress.
