geography
Égly is located 32 kilometers southwest of Paris on the Vidange , a tributary of the Orge . The municipality is surrounded by Ollainville in the north, Arpajon in the east and northeast, Avrainville in the southeast, Boissy-sous-Saint-Yon in the south, Saint-Yon in the southwest, Breuillet in the west and Bruyères-le-Châtel in the northwest. The National Route 20 runs through the municipality . The station is served by the RER C line.
