The A-League 2015/16 was the 11th season of the Australian A-League professional football league . Each of the ten teams played each other three times. The regular season began on October 8, 2015 with the game Western Sydney Wanderers against Brisbane Roar and ended on April 10, 2016 with the game between Sydney FC and Perth Glory . The final round began on April 23rd and ended with the Grand Final on May 1st, 2016.
Adelaide United was able to win its first league title. Together with the Western Sydney Wanderers they qualified for the 2017 AFC Champions League . Brisbane Roar started as league third in qualifying for the Champions League . Melbourne Victory were reigning Premier League winners and Australian champions.
