Barefoot path
A barefoot path is a walking route on which special sensory impressions and the associated relaxation can be experienced by walking barefoot . Shorter footpaths with different floor materials, but also kilometer-long barefoot hiking trails are summarized under this term. Such leisure activities serve the purpose of promoting health and exercise skills (not only of children), arousing interest in nature or simply creating original attractions for events or for tourism.
Common Embodiments
Footpaths
We are happy to set up routes with different materials for events and remove them again after the event. To do this, the materials are placed on fleece webs or in flat boxes or cardboard boxes.
For playgrounds, schoolyards or as a supplement to nature adventure trails , Kneipp or sauna facilities, firmly enclosed path sections with different materials are suitable. Barefoot stretches of around 10 to 100 meters in total are usually laid out here.
Barefoot hiking trails
Many of the barefoot trails offered as tourist attractions are marked and regularly maintained barefoot hiking trails of 1 to 5 km in length with a path that is well suited for walking barefoot. Local conditions are used to include muddy stretches or stream crossings as experience stations and to set up sensing routes from materials typical of the landscape. Balancing routes over differently arranged tree trunks or boulders also provide variety.
There is also hiking literature describing barefoot trails of varying difficulty and hiking guides who offer barefoot hikes.
Barefoot parks
If a barefoot path in a larger area with a wide range of experience options such as feeling paths is equipped with a variety of materials, experience stations, playground elements, perception stations for all the senses, Kneipp opportunities, etc., and is intensively cared for and maintained, the name barefoot park is justified, which some also use Initiatives for their experience offer was chosen.
People like to create barefoot parks as a supplement to spa facilities; for this it is necessary to orientate oneself to a standard which corresponds to the expectations of the visitors. The basis should be a route that is well suited to walking barefoot, one or more kilometers and offers the sensory experience of varied floor coverings and materials. Feeling wood , stones , bark mulch , lawn , clay , mud and water should convey a special stimulus, as well as train concentration, strengthen the musculoskeletal system and strengthen the immune system. Furthermore, adventure opportunities such as play and balancing stations and water experiences ( treading water ) should be included. An essential criterion must be regular care and maintenance that eliminates the risk of injury to visitors and keeps the system in a clean condition.
