Chožov (German Koschow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers northeast of Louny in the southwestern foothills of the Bohemian Central Mountains and belongs to the Okres Louny .
geography
Chožov is to the left of the Eger in the headwaters of the Chožovský potok. The village is dominated in the northwest by the 359 m high Chožovská hora, an elongated mountain of volcanic origin.
Neighboring towns are Třtěno in the north, Orasice in the south-east, Počedělice , Obora and Vršovice in the south, Nečichy in the south-west and Chraberce and Mnichovský Týnec in the north-west.
history
Chodžov was first mentioned in 1056 in a document from the collegiate chapter of St. Stephen in Litoměřice . The Church of St. Michael has been traceable since 1370. The owners of the village changed frequently. Since the abolition of patrimonial in 1848, Chodžov has been an independent municipality.

The municipality of Chožov consists of the districts of Chožov ( Koschow ), Mnichovský Týnec ( Steinteinitz ) and Třtěno ( Kröndorf ), which also form cadastral districts.
