history

Nepomyšl Castle

The village was first mentioned in documents in 1361 as the property of Peter von Janowitz. The lords of Janowitz were followed by Elisabeth Kolditz von Dubá in 1409, Ctibor Čepec von Libiše from 1417 and Heinrich von Elsterberg, Albrecht von Kolditz and Ulrich von Koněprusy a year later . Later, a Vladikensitz was built in Nepomyšl , as its oldest owners in 1500 the brothers Johann and Heinrich von Údrč are known. From 1519 the burgraves of Leisnig ( z Leisneka ) owned Nepomyšl and after Hugo von Leisnig's death the goods passed to his daughter Amabilia and her husband Philipp Graf von Mansfeld . In 1539 this sold Nepomyšl to his brother-in-law Albin Schlick zu Weißenkirchen . When an inheritance was divided, Heinrich von Gutstein received half of the rule in 1566; he bought the other half in 1571 from his half-sister Lucretia Schlick. During his reign, the fortress was probably converted into a two-story castle. In 1589 the rule was so over-indebted that it had to be auctioned off and passed to the brothers Heinrich, Wenzel, Johann, Asmann and Adam von Steinbach ( ze Štampachu ). After the Battle of White Mountain in 1623, the goods Nepomyšl, Zlovědice and Holetice belonging to Christoph Adam von Steinbach were confiscated. The Nepomyšl farm, including the castle, as well as a brewery and mill, was sold to Hermann von Questenberg for 8,000 Meißniche shock . During the Thirty Years War the Swedes looted the place. Until his death in 1651 Heinrich von Questenberg had extended the rule to include the Kolešov , Strojetice and Soběchleby estates . Under the Questenbergers, the deserted area was repopulated with Germans. Nepomyšl, which was called a town before the war, had lost all of its privileges. In 1686 Gundacker von Dietrichstein inherited the rule. He and his successor Ferdinand Joseph had the castle rebuilt. In 1717 King Charles II granted the place the privilege of holding two annual markets . Pomeisl has had a city coat of arms since the 18th century. In the middle of the 19th century, the Pomeisl / Nepomyšl market formed the center of a stately rule, which included the Kriegern / Kryry market and the villages of Wärzen / Dvérce, Oberklee / Soběchleby, Strojetitz / Strojetice, Wießen / Běsno, Koleschau / Kolešov, Hohenstaufen Trebetitsch / Vysoké Třebušice, Lobeditz / Zlovědice and Holletitz / Holetice belonged.

After the abolition of patrimonial Pomeisl / Nepomyšl formed a market town in the Podersam district from 1850 . The poor accessibility of the place away from the Kaiserstraße became proverbial in the 19th century and it was mocked Rome is in the middle of the world, Pomeisl in the middle of the dirt. In the second half of the 19th century the allodial rule of Pomeisl went to the Counts of Herberstein , after the heiress Therese von Dietrichstein married Friedrich von Herberstein in 1849. In the first half of the 20th century there were three mills and a kaolin factory in Pomeisl. In 1930 the market had 1,134 inhabitants.

After the Munich Agreement , Pomeisl was added to the German Empire and belonged to the Podersam district until 1945 . In 1939, 1132 people lived in the village. After the end of the Second World War, Nepomyšl returned to Czechoslovakia and the German population was expelled . The goods of the Counts of Herberstein were expropriated and nationalized in 1945. Nepomyšl sank to a village after 1948.

Nepomyšl has belonged to Okres Louny since 1961, and at the same time Chmelišťná, Dětaň and Dvérce were attached as districts. 1980 Podbořanský Rohozec was incorporated with Nová Ves. Podbořanský Rohozec became independent again in 1990, Nová Ves remained with Nepomyšl. Since October 10, 2006 Nepomyšl is again a Městys .
