Raná (German Rannay ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers north of Louny in the southwestern foothills of the Bohemian Central Mountains and belongs to the Okres Louny .
geography
Raná is located at the foot of the 457 m high Raná mountain . In the vicinity there are other isolated cone mountains of volcanic origin, the Oblík (509 m) rises to the east, the Milá (510 m) to the north and the Stříbrník (271 m) to the south . State road 28 runs through the village between Louny and Most , from which the 250 branches off in Raná to Žatec .
Neighboring towns are Odolice , Bělušice and Sinutec in the north, Charvatce and Mnichov in the north-east, Oblík and Chraberce in the east, Nečichy in the south-east, Lenešice and Dobroměřice in the south, Hrádek in the west and Milá in the north-west.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1333. From the time of the Hussite Wars until the abolition of patrimonial rule in 1848, Raná belonged to the town of Laun . The village of Oblík was also part of the municipal property; it was devastated and extinguished during the Thirty Years War.
In 1930 Rannay had 483 residents. In 1939, the site was from the judicial district Laun in the district Bilin reclassified at that time lived in the village 408 people.
The district of Hrádek is located at the western foot of the Raná mountain and until the municipal reform of 1960 belonged to the municipality of Milá, which is now a district of Bečov . There is a glider airfield near Hrádek. Today, Mount Raná is very popular with paragliders .
Community structure
The municipality Raná consists of the districts Hrádek (Hradek) and Raná (Rannay) , which also form cadastral districts. The one- shift Oblík also belongs to Raná .
