Blšany u Loun (German Pschan ) is a municipality with 216 inhabitants (January 1, 2004) in the Czech Republic . It is located 4 km southeast of Louny at 199 m above sea level. M. at Smolnický potok, a tributary to the Eger . The place is on the railway line from Louny to Zlonice .
history
The to was first mentioned precincts belonging Louny village in 1221 under the name Pšany . In 1450 the town sold part of the village to the Chlumčany lordship , who came back in 1525. After the town's property was confiscated in 1547, Mikuláš Mířkovský von Tropčice bought the place in 1548.
After several changes of ownership, the Prague castle captain Jan Karel Příchovský von Příchovice became the new landlord in 1637. In 1682 the Příchovský family sold Blšany to the Archdiocese of Prague . In the middle of the 19th century, Cardinal Friedrich von Schwarzenberg handed the place over to the landlord of Cítoliby , Johann Adolf von Schwarzenberg, who united him with this rule.
The land reform of 1924 saw the separation from Cítoliby and the castle remained in private ownership until 1949. After the nationalization, a seed company was established on the castle property, which used the castle as a seat and warehouse.
