Nová Ves (German Neudorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is nine kilometers south of Louny and belongs to the Okres Louny .
geography
Nová Ves is located in the north of the Džbán Mountains. The hill Na Oříškách (420 m) rises to the southeast.
Neighboring towns are Smolnice in the north, Toužetín and Hříškov in the Northeast, Žerotín in the east, Samotín, Bílichov and Hvížďalka the southeast, Dřevíč and Vinařice in the south, Průhon and Divice in the southwest, Brodecký Mlyn, Kocanda and Selmice the west and Brodec and Líšťany in northwest .
history
The village Větřín was founded by the knight Lev von Divice, who on October 16, 1347 received a permit from the Augustinian monastery in Roudnice nad Labem to clear a forest to create a village. Instead of the original name, which could not prevail, the place was given the everyday name Nová Ves / Neudorf . During the Hussite Wars , the town of Louny seized the monastery property. She held Nová Ves until 1547, when it was confiscated from her because of her participation in the uprising against the Habsburgs. In 1550 Johann d. J. von Waldstein the village of the Bohemian Chamber . Five years later, Johann von Sovinec on Toužetín acquired the place and joined it to his rule. Until the middle of the 19th century, Nová Ves always remained submissive to Toužetín.
After the abolition of patrimonial Nová Ves / Neudorf formed from 1850 a district of the municipality of Smolnice in the Louny district . In 1878 Nová Ves became independent. At the beginning of 1961 it was incorporated into Hříškov and between 1981 and 1990 Nová Ves was a district of Panenský Týnec . Since November 1990 Nová Ves has been forming its own municipality again.
