history
The first written mention of Auřece was made by Vratislav II , who left the village to Vyšehrad in 1088 . In 1300 Úherce came to the Mělník Monastery , before that the village was owned by the Doksany Monastery . In 1385 the Žirotín brothers took possession of Ouřece , which they transferred to the monastery in Panenský Týnec . In Úherce there was a monastery garden and a monastery fish pond.
In 1577 Úherce consisted of 20 farmsteads and it stayed that way until the beginning of the 18th century. After the abolition of patrimonial Úherce, which remained in the spiritual property even after the secularization of the monastery, became an independent municipality in 1849. In 1880 there were 311 people in Úherce. The parish was Jungfernteinitz , where children from the village attended the parish school until 1897. In 1900 Úherce had 289 inhabitants, who lived in 53 houses and all of them belonged to the Czech ethnic group. The inhabitants lived from agriculture, in addition to fruit plantations, the cultivation of fodder and sugar beets dominated. In 1939 the number of houses had increased to 65, in contrast to this the number of inhabitants had remained constant at 288.
Ten gold collars, two large gold-plated silver brooches and two silver buckles were found near the village. Auhertz's treasure is partly located in the National Museum in Prague and in the Louny City Museum.
