Dzierżążnik ( German Hartels ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Korsze ( urban and rural municipality Korschen ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Dzierżążnik is located on the west bank of the Zaine ( Polish Sajna ) in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 21 kilometers northwest of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
The small manor district of Hartels was incorporated into the newly established administrative district Glaubitten ( Polish : Głowbity ) in 1874, which belonged to the district of Rastenburg in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . On December 1, 1910, Hartels had 57 residents.
On September 30, 1928, the Hartels estate merged with the rural community of Scharkeim (Polish : Sarkajmy ) and the estate districts of Sprenglienen (no longer existent) and Kremitten ( Krzemity ) to form the new rural community of Kremitten .
When the whole of southern East Prussia was surrendered to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war , which also affected Hartels. It was given the Polish form of name "Dzierżążnik" and is today - integrated in the village of Łankiejmy ( German Langheim ) a place within the urban and rural community of Korsze (Korschen) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Hartels was parish up to 1945 in the Evangelical Church Langheim ( Polish Łankiejmy ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church Sturmhübel (Polish Grzęda ) in the Diocese of Warmia .
Today Dzierżążnik belongs on the Catholic side to the parish Łankiejmy in the current Archdiocese of Warmia , on the Protestant side to the parish Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) with the branch church Bartoszyce (Bartenstein) in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Dzierżążnik is located on a side road that branches off from Voivodship Road 592 (former German Reichsstrasse 135 ) at Łankiejmy (Langheim) and leads via Sarkajmy (Scharkeim) to Dłużec Wielki (Groß Langwalde) . The next train station is Łankiejmy on the railway line from Toruń to Korsze , which ran to Tschernjachowsk (Insterburg) in today's Russian Oblast Kaliningrad (Königsberg region (Prussia)) until 2000 .
