Dłużec Wielki ( German Groß Langwalde ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It belongs to the Gmina Korsze ( urban and rural municipality Korschen ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Dłużec Wielki is located in the northern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , 23 kilometers northwest of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
The prior 1785 Long Walde and until 1945 major long forest -called village with a small farm in 1874 in the newly established District believer activities ( Polish Głowbity ) incorporated, which the county Rastenburg in the administrative district of Kaliningrad in the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged. In 1910 the rural community of Groß Langwalde had 93 inhabitants.
On September 30, 1928, Groß Langwalde gave up its independence and merged with the Guts Bezirk Glaubitten (Polish : Głowbity ) to form the new rural community Glaubitten.
When the whole of southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war , Groß Langwalde was also affected. The village received the Polish form of the name "Dłużec Wielki". Today it is the seat of a Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ), which also includes the neighboring towns of Głowbity (Glaubitten) , Krzemity (Kremitten) and Sarkajmy (Scharkheim) . It forms a place in the network of the urban and rural community of Korsze (Korschen) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . In 2011 Dłużec Wielki had 47 inhabitants.

Until 1945 Groß Langwalde was parish in the Protestant Church of Leunenburg ( Polish: Sątoczno ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church Sturmhübel (Polish: Grzęda ) in the Diocese of Warmia .
Today Dłużec Wielki belongs on the catholic side to the parish Łankiejmy ( German Langheim ) in the current Archdiocese of Warmia and on the Protestant side to the parish Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) with the branch churches Barciany (Barten) and Bartoszyce (Bartenstein) in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Dłużec Wielki is located north of the east-west voivodship road 592 and can be reached from Korsze (Korschen) and from Kowalewo Małe (Wotterkeim) . From the north comes a side road that leads from Prosna (Prassen) to here.
There is no connection to rail traffic .
