Suliki ( German Döhrings ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Korsze ( urban and rural municipality Korschen ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Suliki, after 1945 also Dobroszewo for a short time , is located on the Guber river in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 28 kilometers northwest of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
The former large Vorwerk Döhrings and today's hamlet ( Polish Osada ), called Dehrings after 1772 , was founded in 1372. In 1874 the manor district of Döhrings came to the newly established district of Prassen ( Polish Prosna ) in the district of Rastenburg in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
On September 30, 1928 Döhrings gave up his independence and merged with the rural community of Oberteich ( Polish Stawnica ) and the manor districts of Klein Bloßkeim ( Błuskajmy Małe ) and Prassen ( Prosna ) to form the new rural community of Prassen.
In 1945 Döhrings came in consequence of the war with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland and received the Polish form of the name "Dobroszewo", later "Suliki". Today the place is part of the municipality of Korsze (Korschen) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
church
Until 1945 Döhrings was parish in the Protestant Church Leunenburg (Polish Sątoczno ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church Sturmhübel (Polish Grzęda ) in the Diocese of Warmia . Today Suliki belongs to the Catholic parish of Sątoczno in the current Archdiocese of Warmia and to the Protestant parish of Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) with the branch churches Barciany (Barten) and Bartoszyce (Bartenstein) in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .
