Chmielnik ( German  Henriettenhof ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Korsze ( urban and rural municipality Korschen ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Ratenburg district ).

history

The foundation of the village of Henriettenhof goes back to the Middle Ages . In 1820 it was considered noble Vorwerk with 14 fires at 186 inhabitants and the estate Warnikeim ( Polish Warnikajmy mentioned). The estate, which dates back to the Middle Ages with its origins, belonged to the Counts of Borcke at the end of the 19th century , then to the Countess of Maria Agnes zu Dohna-Schlobitten .

In 1874 Henriettenhof was in the newly built office district Tolksdorf ( Polish Tołkiny ) in the county Rastenburg in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia incorporated. On September 24, 1906, the Henriettenhof estate with the Drösch Vorwerk ( Droszkowo in Polish , no longer existent) was formed into the Henriettenhof estate . In 1910 it had 141 inhabitants.

On September 30, 1928, the Henriettenhof estate (with the Drösch Vorwerk) gave up its independence and merged with the Schönfließ rural community ( Kraskowo in Polish ) to form the new Schönfließ rural community .

As a result of the war, the entire southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland . Thus also Henriettenhof, which got the Polish name form "Chmielnik". Today it is a settlement (Polish Osada ) within the urban and rural municipality of Korsze (Korschen) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ). until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . The simple Henriettenhof manor from the second half of the 19th century is still relatively well preserved, as is the farmyard. The facility is owned by the State Agricultural Real Estate Agency (AWRSP) .
