Błuskajmy Wielkie ( German  Groß Bloßkeim ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Korsze ( urban and rural municipality Korschen ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Błuskajmy Wielkie is located on the river Guber in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 26 kilometers northwest of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ).

history

The Vorwerk , which belonged to the Prassen manor district until 1928 and then to the rural community of the same name until 1945 , was called Plussekaim after 1404 and Groß Bloskeim after 1785 . It was in the county Rastenburg in the administrative district of Kaliningrad in the Prussian province of East Prussia incorporated.

In 1945, the entire southern was East Prussia in consequence of the war in Poland transferred. This also affected Groß Bloßkeim, which received the Polish form of the name "Błuskajmy Wielkie". As a settlement ( Osada in Polish ), the place is now part of the urban and rural municipality of Korsze (Korschen) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then it has belonged to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Before 1945 Groß Bloßkeim was parish in the Protestant Church of Leunenburg ( Polish: Sątoczno ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of Sturmhübel (Polish: Grzęda ) in the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Błuskajmy Wielkie belongs on the Catholic side to the parish of Sątoczno in what is now the Archdiocese of Warmia . On the evangelical side, the inhabitants of Błuskajmy Wielkies orientate themselves towards the parish of Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) with its branch churches Barciany (Barten) and Bartoszyce (Bartenstein) in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
