Długi Lasek ( German Langwäldchen ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Korsze ( urban and rural municipality Korschen ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
The settlement ( Polish Osada ) Długi Lasek is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 18 kilometers northwest of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
The Vorwerk Long Grove was before 1945 a living space within the Gutsbezirks or the rural community Langheim ( Polish Łankiejmy ) and belonged to the county Rastenburg in the administrative district of Kaliningrad in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1820 there were 42 residents here, in 1885 56 and in 1905 47 residents.
In 1945, Long Grove came in consequence of the war with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland and received the Polish form of the name "Długi Lasek". Today the settlement is a locality within the urban and rural municipality of Korsze (Korschen) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship belongs.

Before 1945, Langwäldchen was parish in the Evangelical Church Langheim ( Polish Łankiejmy ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church in Korschen (Polish Korsze ) in the Diocese of Warmia .
Today Długi Lasek belongs on the Catholic side to the parish of Łankiejmy in the current Archdiocese of Warmia , on the Protestant side to the parish church of Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) with the branch parish of Bartoszyce (Bartenstein) in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

The busy east-west voivodship road 592 (former German Reichsstrasse 135 ) runs through Długi Lasek and connects the district towns of Bartoszyce (Bartenstein) , Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) and Giżycko (Lötzen) . Not far from Długi Lasek it crosses the north-south voivodship road 590 , which leads from Barciany (Barten) via Reszel (Rößel) to Biskupiec (Bishop's Castle) .
There is no connection to rail traffic .
