Kaskajmy Małe ( German  Klein Köskeim ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Korsze ( urban and rural municipality Korschen ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).

Geographical location

Kaskajmy Małe is located on the west bank of the Zaine ( Polish Sajna ) in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . To the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ) there are 21 kilometers in a south-easterly direction.

history

The Vorwerk Klein Köskeim was incorporated as an estate district in 1874 in the newly established administrative district Glaubitten ( Polish Głowbity ), which belonged to the district of Rastenburg in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

On March 26, 1926, the Klein Köskeim manor district was renamed to " Klein Barn Home " (in Polish: Sajna Mała ) - now with the Klein Köskeim and Klein cabinet home areas - before the merger of the small cabinet home and Wormen districts on September 30, 1928 ( Polish Studzieniec ) with Groß Schiebelheim (Polish Sajna Wielka ) to form the new rural community in oven .

As a result of the war, Klein Köskeim came to Poland in 1945 with all of southern East Prussia and was given the Polish form of the name "Kaskajmy Małe". As a hamlet (in Polish Przysiółek ) to Sajna Wielka (Groß Cabinet Home) it is now a village within the urban and rural community of Korsze (Korschen) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

church

Until 1945 Klein Köskeim was parish in the Protestant Church of Leunenburg ( Polish Sątoczno ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church Sturmhübel (Polish Grzęda ) in the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Kaskajmy Małe belongs to the Catholic parish Sątoczno (Leunenburg) in the current Archdiocese of Warmia and to the Protestant parish Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) with the branch churches Barciany (Barten) and Bartoszyce (Bartenstein) in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .
