Sajna Mała ( German Small Cabinet Home ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Korsze ( urban and rural community Korschen ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Sajna Mała is located on the west side of the river Zaine ( Polish Sajna ) in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 23 kilometers northwest of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
Today's hamlet ( Przysiółek in Polish ) was originally only a very small estate. In 1874 the manor district Klein Wardrobeheim was incorporated into the newly established administrative district Glaubitten (Polish : Głowbity ), which belonged to the district of Rastenburg in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . On April 19, 1893, small cabinet home was included in the manor district of Klein Köskeim (Polish Kaskajmy Małe ). The manor district Klein Köskeim with the residential areas Klein Köskeim and Klein Schiebelheim was renamed "Klein Brilleheim" on March 26, 1926, and on September 30, 1928 this manor district was joined with the manor district Wormen ( Studzieniec in Polish ) and the rural community Large cabinet home ( Sajna Wielka ) merged to form the new rural community cabinet home .
In 1945, as a result of the war, the small cabinet home in cabinet, together with all of southern East Prussia, became part of Poland and received the Polish form of the name “Sajna Mała”. As a hamlet in the connection to Sajna Wielka (Groß cabinet home) , the place is now a place within the urban and rural municipality of Korsze (Korschen) in the powiat Kętrzyński (district of Rastenburg ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
church
Until 1945, Klein Barn Home was parish in the Protestant Church of Leunenburg ( Polish: Sątoczno ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church Sturmhübel (Polish: Grzęda ) in the Diocese of Warmia .
Today Sajna Mała belongs to the Catholic parish Sątoczno (Leunenburg) in the current Archdiocese of Warmia and to the Protestant parish Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) with the branch churches Barciany (Barten) and Bartoszyce (Bartenstein) in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .
traffic
Sajna Mała is located on a side street that connects Dłużec Wielki (Groß Langwalde) with Sajna Wielka (Groß cabinet home , 1928 to 1945 cabinet home) . In addition, an overland road from Kaskajmy Małe (Klein Köskeim) ends in Sajna Mała. Until 2002, Studzieniec (Wormen) was the next train station on the Głomno – Białystok railway line , which is only used by passengers from and to Korsze (Korschen) , so that Sajna Mała no longer has a train connection.
