Franz Dinhobl

Franz Dinhobl , also Franziskus Dinhobl (born December 29, 1961 ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Since March 2018 he has been a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

Franz Dinhobl attended a federal high school in Wiener Neustadt , where he graduated in 1980 . He then began studying cultural engineering and water management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna , which he completed in 1989 as a graduate engineer. After completing his studies, he worked in a civil engineering office, in 1993 he started at NÖSIWAG ( Niederösterreichische Siedlungswasserbau Gesellschaft ), later EVN Wasser , where he became an authorized signatory in 1998 and technical director in 2005. Since 2006 he has been a member of the supervisory board of the Wiental -ammelkanal Gesellschaft mbH and since 2016 of the Lower Austrian subsidiary for waste management and environmental protection Ges.mbH (BAWU). Since 2015 he has been chairman of the supervisory board of Wiener Neustädter Stadtwerke und Kommunal Service GmbH (WNSKS). At the beginning of 2017 he was appointed Vice President of the Austrian Association for the Gas and Water Sector (ÖVGW). He was appointed President for 2019 and 2020.

Since 1984 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KÖHV Neostadia Wiener Neustadt in the ÖCV .

Franz Dinhobl has been a member of the municipal council in Wiener Neustadt since 1995 , where he became chairman of the municipal council club of the ÖVP in 2005 and has been a councilor since 2010 and was responsible for the building, real estate, farmyard and foundations departments until 2020. After the municipal council election in 2020 , he became a councilor for urban development, infrastructure and mobility.

In the state elections in Lower Austria in 2018 , he ran as the top candidate in the Wiener Neustadt district, succeeding Klaus Schneeberger , who was a candidate on the state list. On March 22, 2018 he was in the constituent state parliament session of the XIX. Legislative term as Member of the state parliament of Lower Austria sworn in .
