The football league Baden-Württemberg 1982/83 was the fifth league season.

The SSV Ulm 1846 defended his title from last year and qualified for the promotion round to 2. Bundesliga , where they secured first in the southern group of the climb. The Offenburg FV took part in the German amateur championship final, in which the team lost in the semifinals to the second representation from Bayern Munich .

FV Ravensburg , SSV Reutlingen 05 and SV 98 Schwetzingen and TSV Ofterdingen, which had only been promoted from the association league last year, were relegated to the subordinate leagues . In return, the amateurs from Karlsruher SC from the Baden Association League , FC 08 Villingen from the Südbaden Association League and VfR Aalen from the Württemberg Association League rose directly as the respective relay champions. FV 09 Weinheim from the Baden Association League qualified on the promotion round of the runner-up .
