Galina Valentinovna Tschistjakowa-Beskrownajá ( Russian Галина Валентиновна Чистякова ;. English transcription Galina Chistyakova ; Slovak Galina Čisťakovová * 26. July 1962 in Izmail , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former track and field athlete in the disciplines of long jump and triple jump as well as current world record holder in the long jump ( As of June 26, 2020), which started first for the Soviet Union, then for Russia and finally for Slovakia .

She won silver at the 1986 European Championships in Stuttgart and bronze at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul for the Soviet team. In 1988 she was the first woman to jump over 7.52 meters (7.52 m) in Leningrad and still holds the world record with this distance. After a knee operation in 1990, she could not find her old top form, but in 1995 she achieved success in the triple jump (14.76 meters in Lucerne).

She has lived in Bratislava with her family since 1996 , acquired Slovak citizenship and then competed in the triple jump for Slovakia in the Olympic Games in Atlanta . She is the national triple jump record holder in Slovakia.

With a height of 1.69 m, she had a competition weight of 53 kg. She is married to the former Soviet long jumper Alexander Beskrowny . The couple have a daughter Irina (born 1982) and a grandson.
