Kulm is a place in Carinthia . The border between the cadastral communities of Tauchendorf and Rottschaft Feistritz runs through the village , which is also the border between the political communities of Glanegg and Liebenfels and between the districts of Feldkirchen and Sankt Veit an der Glan . As a result, the place is divided into two localities : the village of Kulm in the municipality of Glanegg has 10 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020), the village of Kulm in the municipality of Liebenfels has 4 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).

location

The place is in the Wimitzer Mountains , on the southeast slope of the Kulmberg. A cadastral municipality boundary runs through the place: the northern part of the place lies in the area of ​​the cadastral municipality Rottschaft Feistritz, the southern part of the place in the area of ​​the cadastral municipality Tauchendorf. The districts used to be connected by a path, today the northern part can only be reached by road from Glantschach , the southern part only from St. Leonhard . Although the two districts are only 300 meters apart as the crow flies, today about 7 kilometers have to be covered by road to get from the northern to the southern part.

History before division

The place was mentioned as Chulem in 1260 . House Oberer Kulm No. 1 goes back to the ancestral home of the Kulmer family who built the Rosenbichl and Hohenstein castles .

The village includes the Unterer Kulmbauer or Unterkulm farm (house no. 1), a few hundred meters north of St. Leonhard.

history

In the first half of the 19th century, the part of the village that was part of the tax community of Tauchendorf belonged to the Glanegg tax district . When the local parishes were formed in the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, these houses came to the community of Tauchendorf , which was attached to the community of Glanegg in 1956.

The village is located about one kilometer southwest of Glantschach. It includes the farms Oberer Kulmer (house no. 1) and, about 300 meters north of it, Haselberger (house no. 2).

history

The houses located in the area of ​​the tax community Rottschaft Feistritz were part of the tax district Kraig and Nussberg in the first half of the 19th century .

When the local congregations were formed in the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, these houses first came to the community of Glantschach , and in 1875 to the community of Pulst . Through the merger of the municipalities of Pulst, Liemberg and Hardegg in 1958, the village became part of the Liebenfels municipality.
