The men's 10,000 meter run at the 2002 European Athletics Championships was held from August 16 to 18, 2002 in the Munich Olympic Stadium.
In this competition, the Spanish long-distance runners won two medals, gold and bronze. European champion was José Manuel Martínez . The German Dieter Baumann repeated his ranking from 1998 with second place . Before that, he was particularly successful on the 5,000-meter course , including second in 1988 , Olympic champion in 1992 and European champion in 1994 . Bronze went to José Ríos .
