List of countries and territories by visitors
The following list sorts countries and territories according to the number of international visitors at the last determinable time. All people are counted as international visitors who have traveled to another country for tourism purposes within a year and have stayed at least once in the relevant country. International business travelers are also counted as visitors, but not people in border areas who regularly cross the border of a neighboring country for personal use. According to this definition, 1.410 billion people visited another country in 2018, an increase of 5% on the previous year. The most visited country was France with over 89.4 million visitors, while Tuvalu had the fewest visitors with just under 2000.
