The Neuravensburger Weiher is a body of water in the Baden-Württemberg city ​​of Wangen im Allgäu in the Ravensburg district in Germany .

location and size

The pond, which was created around 1200, is around 8.6 kilometers southwest of the city center of Wangen, immediately south of the Neuravensburg district at an altitude of 522  m above sea level. NN . Today the pond is owned by the city of Wangen.

The catchment area covers an area of ​​around 488 hectares, 15 percent of which is forests and 75 percent is used for agriculture. The main tributaries are the Moosbach from the southwest and the Zipfelgraben from the northeast. The Neuravensburger Weiher is drained via the Wiesenbach into the Obere Argen; it is thus part of the Rhine river system .
