The Obermühleweiher is a still water in the area of the Baden-Württemberg city of Tettnang in the Lake Constance district in Germany.
location and size
The privately owned pond is east of Tettnang city center and south of Wangener Strasse at an altitude of 472.7 m above sea level. NHN . The pond is also the city of Bach mentioned Riedbach flowed through, the upper reaches of Tobel Bach , the west below the city to Schussen drained. Weiher and the associated "upper mill" were already mentioned in the 13th century , today the water still drives a turbine .
The area of the roughly rectangular pond is 0.85 hectares , the length about 120 meters, the width about 80 meters. It is on average 3.5 and up to 4.4 meters deep and holds 30,700 cubic meters of water. The bank is about 400 meters long. The approximately 100 hectare catchment area extends from the southeast sector of the urban area of Tettnang into the adjoining corridor.

With the help of the action program, the following proposals for improving water quality were developed: the extensification of critical agricultural areas and a central sewage connection.
Flora and fauna
In the Obermühleweiher and its shoreline, in addition to the yellow pond rose ( Nuphar lutea ), there are also pine fronds ( Hippuris vulgaris ) and Berchtold's dwarf pondweed ( Potamogeton berchtoldii ). Furthermore, different types of algae live in the pond.
The fauna includes glass water fleas ( Daphnia longispina ), carp , roach , rudd and trout.
