Nové Sady (until 1948 Slovak "Ašakerť", until 1927 "Kert" / "Ašakert"; Hungarian Assakürt ) is a Slovak municipality near Nitra .
The place was mentioned for the first time as Kurt in 1156 and is derived from the gender of the same name, which founded the place at that time. In 1960 the municipality "Čab-Sila", which was formed from Čab and Sila in the same year, was connected to it, and since August 1, 1999, Čab has been an independent municipality again.
In 2001 the community had 1320 inhabitants (1910: 810, 1980: 2241 inhabitants). A pelican is depicted in the municipal coat of arms.
