Veľké Zálužie (until 1948 Slovak "Ujlak"; Hungarian Nyitraújlak - until 1892 Újlak ) is a municipality in western Slovakia .
geography
It is located in the Danube Hills , twelve kilometers west of Nitra . The R1 expressway runs on the northern edge of the municipality.
history
The place was first mentioned as Wylak in 1261 and originally belonged to local nobles. In 1526 the community got market rights and was raised to a town, this status was revoked again in 1876.

- Country palace from the beginning of the 19th century, initially owned by the Forgáchs , later by the Esterházys .
