Ivanka pri Nitre (until 1948 in Slovak "Ivánka pri Nitre" - until 1927 "Ivánka"; German Iwanka , Hungarian Nyitraivánka - until 1888 Ivánka ) is a municipality in Okres Nitra in central western Slovakia .
history
The village was first mentioned in writing in 1330 as Iwankafalva , in 1924 the place Lúky-Gergeľová was incorporated and from 1976-1992 the municipality was part of the city of Nitra .

The municipality lies at an altitude of 146 meters and covers an area of 14.909 km². The population is around 2,415 inhabitants .
