Lužianky (until 1948 in Slovak Šarlužky-Kajsa , in Hungarian Sarlókajsza ) is a municipality in western Slovakia . It is located in the Danube lowlands at the confluence of the Radošinka and Nitra rivers , 8 km from Nitra .

Today's municipality was created in 1895 through the merger of the two places Šarlušky (Hungarian Sarluska ; first mentioned in 1113 as Sorlou ) and Kajsa (Hungarian Kajsza ; first mentioned as Kaysza ). From 1976 to June 30, 1993 the community was incorporated into the southeastern city of Nitra .

The place has a train station on the Nové Zámky – Prievidza railway line .
