The Ivory Coast took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in part. It was the 13th participation in the Summer Olympics. The Comité National Olympique de Côte d'Ivoire nominated 12 athletes for 6 sports.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the athlete Murielle Ahouré . At the closing ceremony , the archer Philippe Kouassi represented the delegation.

The nomination of Carla Frangilli , originally qualified for women, was withdrawn by the NOK of the Ivory Coast. Her starting place was awarded to the Greek Evangelia Psarra .
