The R 508 ( Russian P 508 (the Cyrillic P corresponds to the Latin R)) is a 230 kilometer long regional road in Russia , which leads in a large semicircle through the central and eastern Kaliningrad Oblast ( Königsberg area (Prussia) ).

It begins three kilometers east of the city of Kaliningrad ( Königsberg ) in Lugowoje ( Gutenfeld ) as a junction from the A 196 trunk road , runs eastward via Znamensk ( Wehlau ) to Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938–1946 Angerapp ), then northwards via Gussew ( Gumbinnen) ), Dobrowolsk ( Pillkallen , 1938–1946 Schloßberg ) and Krasnosnamensk ( Lasdehnen , 1938–1946 Haselberg ) to three kilometers east of the town of Neman ( Ragnit ), where it joins the A 198 highway at Tschapajewo ( Tussainen ) .

In its course, the R 508 runs from Gurjewsk Rajon ( Neuhausen ) through the Gwardeisk district ( Tapiau ), Pravdinsk district ( Friedland ), Osjorsk district ( Darkehmen , 1938–1946 Angerapp ), Gussew district ( Gumbinnen ) and the Krasnosnamensk district ( Lasdehnen , 1938–1946 Haselberg ) to the Rajon Neman ( Ragnit ).
