Rapid was an Italian car brand.
Company history
The company Società Torinese Automobili Rapid , STAR for short , was founded in Turin in 1905 as the successor company of GG Fratelli Ceirano & C. under the direction of Giovanni Battista Ceirano for the production of automobiles . Rapid was used as the brand name. Production ended in 1921. SPA and CIP took over parts of the company.

Between 1905 and 1907 there was a two-cylinder model and the two four-cylinder models 16/24 HP with 4562 cm³ displacement and 24/40 HP with 7432 cm³ displacement. In 1907 the 50/70 HP followed with a four-cylinder engine and 10560 cm³ displacement. Around 1913 three four-cylinder models appeared with a displacement of 1600 cm³, 2000 cm³ and 3100 cm³.
