Sri Lankan national cricket team in New Zealand for the 2018/19 season
The Sri Lankan national cricket team tour to New Zealand in the 2018/19 season took place from December 15, 2018 to January 11, 2019. The international cricket tour was part of the 2018/19 international cricket season and included two tests and three ODIs and one Twenty20 . New Zealand won the Test series with 1-0, the ODI series with 3-0, and the Twenty20 series 1-0.
prehistory
New Zealand previously played a tour against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka tour against England . The last meeting of the two teams took place in New Zealand in the 2015/16 season .

Before the fourth day, New Zealand looked like the sure winner, but the two Sri Lankan batsmen Kusal Mendis and Angelo Mathews failed to lose another wicket over the fourth day. This is an achievement that a partnership last achieved ten years earlier. On the fifth day, the game ended after 12 wicketless overs due to the weather.
