Sri Lankan national cricket team in Zimbabwe in the 2016/17 season
The Sri Lankan national cricket team tour to Zimbabwe in the 2016/17 season took place from October 29 to November 10, 2016. The international cricket tour was part of the 2016/17 international cricket season and included two tests . Sri Lanka won the series 2–0.
prehistory
It is the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2008/09 season in Zimbabwe . Originally, in addition to the tests, three One-Day Internationals and one Twenty20 were planned for the tour . However, the one-day games were converted into a three-nation tournament along with the West Indies .
