In 2013 the district of Regensburg-Land, Schwandorf (number: 305) was abolished. The Schwandorf part came to the Schwandorf district, the Regensburg part to the Regensburg-Land district.

The district of Regensburg-Land-Ost was renamed Regensburg-Land. In places the designation Regensburg-Land-Ost also appeared. He kept the number 304 and now included almost the entire district of Regensburg, namely:

The communities Lappersdorf , Pentling and Wenzenbach were assigned to the district of Regensburg-Stadt. It was given the number 305. In addition to the independent city of Regensburg , it now also included the communities of Lappersdorf, Pentling and Wenzenbach.
