The university was founded in 1967. British actress Diana Rigg was Chancellor of the University of Stirling from 1998 to 2008 .

Campus and student life

In addition to the main campus in Stirling, there are two others, the Highland campus and the Western Isles campus. A cinema and theater complex, the MacRoberts Arts Center, is located on the Stirling campus . 13 percent of students are from outside the UK.
