Westphalian art sites

Westfälische Kunststätten is the name of a series of art guides published by the Westphalian Heimatbund .

The Rheinische Kunststätten series founded by the Rhenish Association for the Preservation of Monuments and Landscape Protection (RVDL) served as a model , from which the format and presentation were adopted.

The first booklet about Altena Castle was published in 1977. All booklets have a format of 15 × 21 cm and are equipped with numerous pictures, site plans and floor plans. Mostly written by art historians, preservationists or other competent authors, these are primarily dedicated to historical buildings such as churches and monasteries , castles and palaces , but also to individual localities in Westphalia . Analogous to the Westphalia North Rhine- parts of the country Rhineland and Westphalia has also the part of the country lip with since 2004 from Lippe Heimatbund issued Lippische cultural landscapes through a corresponding Series . The series is continually being continued and expanded; an average of two to three new issues appear every year (not counting new editions).

To collect the row, there are green plastic cassettes that can hold up to 15 booklets.
