The 1. HNL 2017/18 was the 27th season of the highest Croatian league in men's football . It began on July 14, 2017 with a home game of NK Inter Zaprešić against HNK Cibalia Vinkovci (3: 1) and ended on May 19, 2018. From December 18, 2017 to February 9, 2018, it was interrupted by a shortened winter break .

On the 36th matchday, record champions GNK Dinamo Zagreb were able to perfect the title of Croatian football champions with a 3-1 home win against NK Inter Zaprešić . At the same time, HNK Cibalia Vinkovci was the first and only relegated to the 2nd HNL .
