Arçay is a French municipality with 355 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Loudun . The inhabitants are called Arçois .
geography
Arçay is about 50 kilometers west-northwest of Châtellerault . Arçay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Laon in the north and west, Mouterre-Silly in the north and east, Ouzilly in the south, Brie in the southwest and Oiron in the west.
