The Diocese of Coria-Caceres ( lat. : Dioecesis Cauriensis-Castrorum Caeciliorum ) is in Spain situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Coria .
history
The diocese Coria-Cáceres was founded in 1152 by Pope Eugene III. established as the diocese of Coria and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Santiago de Compostela as a suffragan . On April 9, 1957, the diocese of Coria was renamed the Diocese of Coria-Cáceres . The Diocese of Coria-Cáceres was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Mérida-Badajoz as a suffragan on July 28, 1994 .
