The diocese of Terrassa ( lat . : Dioecesis Terrassensis , cat . : Bisbat de Terrassa ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in Terrassa, Catalonia .
history
The diocese was established on June 15, 2004 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Christifidelium salutem from areas of the Archdiocese of Barcelona, which was also a metropolitan seat, and assigned to it as a suffragan diocese .
The diocese area includes Montcada, Sant Cugat-Les Planes, Terrassa, Rubí, Sabadell Center, Sabadell Nord, Sabadell Sud, Granollers, Puigraciós, Mollet, Montseny i Cardedeu-Llinars and Montbui.
Josep Ángel Sáiz Meneses has been the only bishop of the diocese to date since 2004 .
