The diocese of Albacete ( Latin : Dioecesis Albasitensis , Spanish : Diócesis de Albacete ) is a Roman Catholic diocese in the province of Albacete and has its bishopric in Albacete .
It belongs to the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Toledo , to which it is assigned as a suffragan diocese . On November 2, 1949, the diocese of Albacete was founded as a division of the dioceses of Cartagena , Cuenca and Orihuela .
