The Roman Catholic Diocese of Girona ( Latin Dioecesis Gerundensis , Catalan Bisbat de Girona , Spanish diócesis de Gerona ) is one in Spain situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Girona .
history
The diocese of Girona was established in the 4th century and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Tarragona as a suffragan . On April 10, 1992, the diocese of Gerona was renamed the Diocese of Girona .
